I'm starting with a 100% stock 05 900 (300 miles) with all upgrades performed. I know what you spend has no limits, but what is my best bang for the buck for performance/handling (maybe within $1000-1500)? Anyone have any parts to get rid of?
My thoughts are pipe and can, clutch and maybe a 136". Any input is appreciated - thanks.

My list in order would be:
SLP torque arm, push arm
studs, single carbides
SLP Airbox
Team 719 or comparable steep helix (I'd just leave the rest of the clutching stock for the modest gain any more delivers, and I tried a bunch of stuff)

i agree with the bat
1
torque stop and push
or compfusions motormounts
2
air box/intake (for heat or air flow)
3
719 helix, along with a 140/240 or 140/260 spring
4
carbides 8"
studs, min 144, probably 192, 2/3 down the middle, 1/3 outer
5
definately
2 layers of tinfoil and tinfoil tape
covering the chaincase cover (it will warp)
and
bellypan under the muffler(it will melt)

my good friend has this exact sled and all those things above are needed except the studs and the single carbides. those two things are personnal preference (you could pay me to run studs).
if it was my sled and i had 1500 to spend i would do the following.
1. slp silencer....losses a shit ton of weight
2. venting...shock tower vents from slp and flow rites in the dash side panel vents anything to get air moving
3. slp push and pull stops...prevents broken motor mounts and cranks. compfusions mount kit is awesome but very spendy.
4. timbersleds airbox, slp's airbox is ok too but a major POS to install. frees up a ton of under hood room for air movement.
5. the 719 team helix and 3 delrin washer while you have it apart. Ive also heard that a heavier weight makes it pull harder but not sure on that one.
6. longer track instead of studs if theres any money left over, but im sure the 1500 will be about gone by now on the other stuff.

Most would agree that the epi kit doesn't do a lot for performance with this sled. This sled does like to be weight down and will pull harder.
