So I had been on the hunt for a black IQ seat for months delaying the inevitable of just buying a brand new one from the dealer. Two weeks ago I got a PM from Pro-EX with a link to a seat on a snowest forum. Surprisinly I hadnt seen the post yet and was able to pick up the seat at a good price. Anyway, I just thought it was really cool that a member who I didnt even know, knew that I really wanted a seat and let me know about it.

Thanks man,

Arik

PS, now I have a Black/Red/Blue '05 seat for sale!

Just asking what I've got into it. I actually just got it thinking it would be a good backup plan if I couldnt find a black one. Then as soon as I got this one, I found the black one. (murphys law). $115. I'll post a pic this evening....

Pro-Ex, what are you going to run for gears in that thing???

My sled is starting to go back together and I think the last parts I need to acquire is the gearing. Right now I have the stock 19/45. I think I'd like to try out the 22/43. Right now I have the 15 spline 3/4" / 7/8" setup. Anyone have polaris part numbers for the 22/43 that will work? I was looking at this website :

http://www.goodwinperformance.com/gearschainsbearings.asp

Would the POHY-3423 and POHY-3443 gears work for my '05? Their description calls them 3/4" gears, 1" bore. I believe my top gear is 7/8" wide.....???

Thanks for any info guys....

What track are you running and what type of riding do you do? I'm running a 141x2 strictly off-trail and I'll be running 21/45. It's the same as what I ran in my '05 and that worked pretty good.

I've got the stock 121" x 15 x 1-7/8 (I think). The riding conditions around here are crazy. The winters have been so unpredictable around here the past few years, it seems like you have to ride whenever you can. I ride on a lot of trails...sometimes they are hardpacked bumpy as hell, sometimes its great powder. Anything goes....

I hear ya there Arik, I also run the stock track on my 05. It's geared 21/43 and I find it works well on and off trail. About 88 top end on trail, but still snappy on the bottom. ( 04 600ves motor in it) Just my .02.

I actually havnt done a lot of riding out here yet. I grew up in Mexico, NY....from home we could easily get all the way to up to the Hill.

I've got a few friends who know this area real well. There are a couple of decent trails starting in Clarence and connect to all of the trails in the Southtowns. I live in Amherst, so Clarence is probably going to be the drop point...

My cousin rides the Southtowns.

A good place to drop is Pizza Inn in Clarence they have a huge parking lot right at the head of the trail. It's about 5 blocks from my parents house. Plus their pizza is pretty good.
