Well last night I nailed a small doe with my '77 K20 at about 35 mph. Swerved into the other lane to avoid it, but it turned the other way and ran right in front of me. Felt the whack in the front then felt the rear tires bounce up over it. She spun around in the road for a few minutes then just laid there for 10 or 15 minutes while I called the cops to plug her in the head. Just before the cops arrived a car came by and I saw her laying there with her head up and ears perked up blink.gif ....car swerved to miss her and almost skidded off road. When the lights from the cops arrived on scene I saw she was gone!!!! It was in a residential area we looked in all the yards around the area and couldn't find her.....no blood trail or nothing!

Damn thing flattened by a 6000 lb truck and walks off. I was really looking forward to some backstraps for dinner tonight!! luxhello.gif

should have gave her some lead in the head. guarantee they dont get up. Too bad she got away she probably died off in the woods. She couldnt be doing ok after getting smacked by your truck

I know I hated to waste the meat. I don't carry so not an option....I didn't even have a knife in the truck to go over and cut her throat. Wish the cops could have come sooner, probably the time I spent hunting down the correct phone number for them cost me the deer. wall.gif

Why would I tie up the 911 lines with a stupid deer collision??? 911 is for emergencies not for accidents with over sized rats....unless of course someone gets hurt.

lol, last year I had a Doe run in front of me. I was going about 30 and slammed on the brakes. As I skidded I pushed the Deer with the F150 bumper and she hopped along while being pushed and never fell over. When the truck stopped she just took off over a snowbank.

Ah, what the heck....the kid's only 17 and probably a product of the public school system....three concurrent numbers to remember in an emergency is probably a very significant challege! grinning-smiley-023.gif

So true. It seems that most teenagers are more focused on Ja-rules next album, rather than exposing themselves to a mountain of mental elevation.

So....When's 50cents new album gonna be worth a dolla bill ya'll?
