I'd like to r&r both clutches on my '05 Fusion 900. I'm just looking to do a stock rebuild -- unless anyone has any suggestions for something better! I've never done this before, but I can't imagine it's that difficult. Can anyone offer me some tips or pointers or a basic "how to" for this job? What parts need to be replaced? Any help would be much appreciated!

Mark the orientation between the moveable sheave and the stationary and don't loose any spacing shims or that orientation will not be the same after re-assembly and you will have to have it balanced again.
You will need a socket for the spider and jam nut as well as the tool to hold the clutch to the table.
Replace the spider buttons, rollers and washers. Dremmel the weight pockets in the spider where the weights are hitting and cutting into the spider.
Install new moveable and cover bushings. You will need to make a spud to press out the moveable bushing. Use green loctite adhesive to re-install.
The cover bushing is held in by a snap ring and you will need a spud to press that out as well.
New weights are a must in the 900 because your weight bushings are shot.
Inspect the weight pins and measure their diameter on the bearing journal. If it is less than .010 from the rest of the pin replace it.
Torque the spider and jam nut to 325 lb-ft, although the service instructions only say 225 and 250. Use blue thread locker on both the spider and the jam nut.
SLP sells the tools for the spider and the holding fixture to hold the clutch during disassembly and assembly.
Or, I can do the rebuild for you for $150 +shipping. PM me if you are interested.
