Good day, i picked up a 98 Mach Z 800 triple a few years ago and it is time to replace the track, any suggestions on lug size and what brand to put on her? The original track is on it (don't know what size lugs it started with from factory) now and spins like crazy when you hit it, i do mostly semi groomed trail and lake rideing some trail breaking and not too much powder due to the weight of the machine, is a ripsaw the way to go? All thoughts are appreciated as most of you on this board seem to know a whole lot.
Thanks in advance!

bigger machine like that...I would first go up to a 1.25" lug and then just aim for a well known brand or style as in ripsaw or even hacksaw (Ii think it's the more aggressive one). The .89 on there was probably just a Doo original and the difference once you get away from that can be amazing. I went to a 1.5" on my 97 FII and now that track is on a 98 Formula Z and it made a huge difference on how the sled handles....although you do loose some top end.

Keep your eyes open for one in the classifieds with low K's and 99% of the time any change is good!

Thank you for help appreciated.

I put a Camoplast 1.25" Ripsaw on my 98 Mach 1 and it was a huge improvement over the stock track. I've been very impressed with it in all snow conditions.

Thanks to all who replied, i've ordered a 1.25 ripsaw from tracksusa for $414.00 to my door.
