I was up on Ascutney when the sun was coming up this weekend, and where the water flows over the granite, it was icy. Its not flurries, but even that got me all hot and bothered.

I think there was snow on Mansfield on Saturday too...or it could have been a deep frost. Either way, it was white up there!

Looking at this site, they havnt received anything measurable yet. But I assume a coating wouldnt be counted, so its still possible that was snow up there.
PS, I love the view from on top the old mountain.

70s in CT! Another warming trend for next week too. I say get it out of the way now. I will be concerned if this current pattern is still going during the last 2 weeks of NOV.

One of the wise old weathermen from the old Travelors Weather Service in Hartford used to say you had to have the swamps full ( Meaning a few big rains) before you could get a real good freeze.
Its going to be a while till we see any decent rains. Heck, the ground is cracked and dry below my sled trailer. Usually, if it was normall, the trailer would be sinking into the soft ground a bit.
