Bennington is past its peak, but still has plenty of color. I'll bet that Brattleboro is just coming into its own... a couple weeks ago it was still completely green!!!

My house (Readsboro, right near woodford & Searsburg) hit its peak in the 3rd week of September. My trees are almost completely bare now, except for a few here and there.

Jim, are you in Alpenwald Village ???

I was there last weekend, just looking around, looks like a interesting place.

Ill be up at willoughby lake at my cousins place for the weekend. Ill be up on long pond road and if theres a chance for snow this weekend it will be there right up on top of that road. I'll take some pics for sure if i see any white stuff falling.

I'm just past it. If you're headed north, after you go by alpenwald village, you go down the hill to where the parking lot is, then the road turns right. After that right, I'm a couple houses up on the left... the one that looks like a used car lot. grin.png

I know I went by there, and it does kinda sound familiar. North or south of the parking for the Wind Farm ?

You mean the windmills on Searsburg? I'm south of that. If you're heading north on Route 8/100, you'll go by Alpenwald village, and then I'm just a half mile past that. The parking lot for the VAST trails is about halfway between me and Alpenwald. After about another 1/2 mile after my house, Rt. 8 turns left and goes up to Searsburg where the windmills are. I live about 3 miles from the windmills.

I didn't realize they had parking for the windmills though. I wish they had snowmobile access to those windmills. That would be fun to see those up close, and would make a great destination.

Cant say there was parking. But there is a acess road there, and there was another car parked cheking them out.
There is a small billboard that also gives the facts on the whole prodject. You could hear the woop of the blades from that spot.
