I think my tach is way off on my 03 900. 3000 rpm engagement it is reading and 7000 max throttle at speedo pointing to my crotch MPH.Seems to be like 700 RPM out.Is there a fix? smiley-faces7.gif

Most dealers or performance shops will be able to take care of that for you.
Catdog800
They have an electronic device that plugs in and they calibrate by a screw in the back of the tach.
MUSKOKA800
Those that have checked have found AC tachs to be off 100-300 rpm.

Thanks , To the dealer it goes. What should they charge for this?

I thought the new model sleds had a tach that couldn't be recalibrated. Don't know but was told that with my 02' zr800. Let me know what happens. :div20:

Most of the performance shops check them like goodwin or fett. Some will send a print out what actual might be compared to what your tach says through out the rpm range. Cost is like $20-30. I doubt your dealer will do it he will probley send it out for a little kick back. Most tachs that are off read high you may have more of a problem
