I just read on polarisfiles from excursion that the reflash should be available within the next 2-3 weeks. He said this was unofficial but what he is being told. So look for it towards the end of October.

Still not available yet If you follow this thread, you will find out once it is released. ExcursionPSD will be posting it for all of us.

The EPA is picking apart the need for a reflash on the '06 & '07 FST's according to Roseau. Hopefully we'll see it before the snow flies or ever. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

Its none of their business why the need. All they need to know is that it meets standards. WTF

I was surprised by that response also, especially since it is the virtually same setup used on the MY08 models. But......
The 'old' FST's don't have the new ECU, muffler, some sensors, and enough other things to make it worth the while for the EPA to check it out.

It would seem that our vintage '06 units can't be that far removed from the more recent 'modern' units that the reflash will happen.

It's typical government 'BS'. Nothing is going to be simple.

From PolarisFiles, the update has been released today.

Quoting Excursion PSD:

S-07-12 was released today Nov. 19, 2007. The update files are available to dealers to put into Digital Wrench 3.0. There is one reflash file for ALL FST's and one for ALL FS's regardless of model year.

This reflash is also supposed to fix the ghost Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC), that have gotten thrown in the past for no good reason.

When scheduling the reflash/update remind the dealer to order the hose update kit also.
The new hoses are a much better material.

I had not heard of the hose update. Which hoses are affected by the update and why?
Thanks

My buddy just got his reflashed today. With the little snow we have on the ground we took her out in the hay field and took her for a spin. All I can say is HOLY SH#T. This thing hits hard out of the hole. You guys are going to be impressed. I was.

I got mine at the dealer now... 06 fst classic with the slp silencer and clutching done.. OOOOH BOY!! finally a RX-1 contender. HOPE the wifes sled will keep up with my 08 Dragon SB 700 slp piped and clutched.. Seems hill-drag season will not be a loss for our year.. My 06 IQ racer 980 tripple will have to drull for the winter. (Waiting on crank shop to slow down to build the pipes?) I did the Fuel Sender Bend to the FST also and gosh I didn't know that a quarter tank was issue for a blinking low fuel Readout!!!!!
fusion
Hello everyone just received my letter today for the recall technical service bulletin S-07-11 polaris is up-dating all 2006-2007 FS FST with the 2008 Electronic Control Unit calibration.

It says the new 2008 ECU calibration files will optimize performance and eliminate false check engine light that you may notice when starting engine.

Hope this will fix any problems with my 2007 fst
