I need advice. I am trying to decide between a new 06 Fusion 600/700 for around 6100 and a lightly used 04 GSX 800 HO for 4500. Have never riden a rider forward and worry the Rev is too far forward for a taller guy. Also not sure between the 700 or 600 if I do go fusion. I am more about the ride than the speed. Any advice would be great. Thanks.

What do you think of the new price of 6100 OTD for the Fusion...

Awesome price - go with the Fusion 6 if you can't get a Fusion 700. Did you get back with the guy from Babbitts ? I'm sure you'll get alot of replies on this one.

If i were you i would go with the 600 fusion or the gsx. I would stay away from the 700 the fact that they took it off the market after only 1 year tells me something....

I been hearing about how the Fusions suck, the 766 and 866 engines were garbage, and polaris discontinued them for a reason. Polaris dropped the Fusion name because of publicity. They got a bad rap, and mostly was the dealers faults, not polaris. Polaris knew they were in trouble, so decided it would be best to drop the "fusion". 90% of negative fusion garble on the net comes from the mouths of skidoo, yamaha, and cat owners, not Fusion owners. Besides talking to fusion owners, I was also on the net looking at used ones. Saw lots of 05-06 900 Fusions with 3-6k miles on them for sale used. Well in 2-3 riding seasons, if these guys racked up those kind of miles, the sleds spent more time on the trails then in the shop. There are a lot of happy Fusion owners out there. not saying there werent some lemons out there, but the good defintily weighed out the bad. Some 900's and some 700's blew belts due to crappy engine mounts, poor stock clutching, and they vibrated. Didnt some of the rev 600 and 800 sleds need pistons and rings before 2k miles? Or the carb boots cracking and burning up the engines? Or leaky PTO seals? They all had their own issues, but for me , Id rather rather walk into a dealer to get a new belt, walk out and be back on the trail in minutes, rather than get my sled in line at the dealer in mid january for some rings, pistons, etc.

I just bought a new 2006 900 Fusion for 5700 out the door tax and everything. I dont think the dealer I got it from had any Fusions left. He had a used 06 600 that he wanted 4999 for, but had 3k miles, so for a few hundred more I got a brand new 900 with 0 miles and warranty.

I would go with either sled, personal preference. My buddies have revs, and they are a great bump sled, and comfortable. The rev 600HO is zippy, and the 800 PT is a strong runner. Beat my 03 F7 by a few sled lengths stock to stock. The polaris 600HO lead the 600 class in 2006.

Not sure how tall you are, but I am 6'1, and although the rev was more comfortable than the F7 for me, when I rode the revs, my knees were on the dash. I had to move back on the seat quite a bit to get comfy. The Fusion I feel is a little more comfortable for the taller guys, especially with the adjustable handlebars.

I agree. I'm 6'2" and the Fuse is the first sled I'm totally comfortable on......no more bangin' my knees into stuff...especially handlebars and dash. Plus, to stand for big bumps , jumps, and off trail is a peice of cake. No more having legs going limp from changing from seated to standing a bunch of times.

IMHO - this is a major plus for us tall riders that don't always ride 'super highways.'

No brainer for the Fusion. Great price !

I traded my REV800 in for my 600HO and haven't missed it. Don't get me wrong, the REV is a great sled, but I really like the Fusion600. Plenty of power and it rides better, is way better in the powder, and is more comfortable to ride. I am 6' 2" tall and after riding my 600HO and then getting on my buddy's REV, I am much happier on my Fusion.

Price seems fair as well. Enjoy.

I just talked to a guy selling an 07 NEW IQ 600 for 6600. Do you think its worth it to go IQ over fusion. Would still have remaining warrany. He says it has one mile on it, bought it end of last season.

Chad, the only major difference between the 07 and 06 is the hood, spindle position, and ski's ( for lighter steering) . The chassis's on both are still IQ and the motors are identical. I take it that this 07' is not a CFI. If it is, buy the 07' at that price IMO. Hear lot's of good things on the CFI's. I'm sure you'll end up with something new - you can buy a 900 cheaper than that price that is new with a warranty also and CFI. I'll keep looking for you - peace

PS: like my new wheels ?

deffinately go with the 600. those motors are great. plus the riding position of the fusion/iq is incredible. very light and nimble. i wish i would have bought the 6 instead of the 9.

My local Dealer is selling 06 600 Ho Fusions for $5100.00 with no miles on them. I paid $6100 for mine last year.

I am 6'6" and my 06 600 FUSION is the most comfortable sled I have been on. I can go all from 9a.m to 10 p.m. riding easily now. I do not feel any aches or pains the next morning. My friend has a REV and another has a CAT M1000. We swap sleds during the day and we all seem to want to ride mine the most. My friend with the REV sold his last year and is getting a Fusion or an IQ this season and he is 6'5". My other CAT buddy just cannot give up his big 1000 (payed to much) I like to ride and explore all day and the 600 is awesome. I gutted the airbox and put SLP big horn on it and an SLP can with the 1 1/4" ripsaw it does all I want to do. Like I said I am up first the next day and ready to ride.
