Our club members from central NY want to ride in Maine this year. We would like to stay within 5 to 7 hours from Syracuse,NY. We will ride for 4 days and stay 5 nights. Late January or so. If there is anyone with some names of places or links I would appreciate it!
I wolud expect alot of people doing what we want to do. With the exchange rate so bad in Canada it's time to try some place new.
Thanks in advance,
Brian

About your best bet that time of year would be Eustis, Rangeley, or Jackman. Those are in your travel time range. A little further would be Millenocket, a little less crowded.

I agree - Millinocket is a great place to ride - loads of trails - but its about 10 hours from you - a little farther than you may wish to travel. Any questions about our area (Millinocket-Baxter State Park) just give a holler - always happy to share info. Regardless, have a great visit to our state!

I would go to Rangeley Maine. If you guys are coming through VT, you just head torwards Pittsburg, NH. From Pittsburg you can head to Rangley.

Coming from out of state like you are and being unfamiliar with Maine trails if I was you I'd go online and look at Bose Buck Camps(Rangeley area) or Spruce Meadow Cabins(Jackman area) both places are fairly cheap and have excellent services and make you feel like your at home. And dont forget to check out the Farmington Area also its centrally located and plenty of places to stay and easy access to all trails.Any of the 3 areas above will provide you with excellent trails and all you could possibly want and then some at reasonable rates!
