Form III 315'R Racing
I have been working with the club to change some of the rules and class structure to make it a overall better race. It is based off of rules that we have seen at other
amateur races. I hope that everyone mostly agrees with them but im sure that not everyone will. The only thing that i can ask to help grow the sport and make
new comers happy, is that if you plan to run in PURE STOCK classes that you do not do anything to your sled! This is a very hard class to police and just please
keep it stock so everyone has a fair race. The following is the new structure and some payout information. Hope to see alot of people there!!

what is the date of this event? Also what classes will the 1000cc yamahas be put in?
catattack57
WnyCatRider, the race is this weekend, Saturday, October 13th. This is a track that bodes well for the unstudded sleds, no real clay starting line, mostly torn up dirt. I must add, great news on the changing of the class structures, I know that last year we had to run against sleds with twin pipes and such, all because of having a fuel reducer on the F7, looks like the rules are similar to the ones used by COSDRA, and the rules they used at Shawnee. Way to go, hopefully we can get everyone in the Western NY area to all follow the same rules, good for everyone involved!!!! As for the Yamahas, wish they would make a class just for the four strokes, or run them with the sleds that are the same cc size as they are, no one lets the 1000 thundercats run with the smaller sleds, they weigh as much or more than the yamahas do, guess the debate could go on forever.

Thank you for the support! I have been working to get these rules adjusted and was hoping we could all agree on them. i think they will work well for this race.. as for the 1000cc 4's ur right this debate could go on forever.. as of now i believe that they are running in the 600 cc class as they always have in the past. i would like to separate them by stock horse power to put them in the right class, they may be 1000 cc but dont produce as much hp as the 2 strokers. if we go by the "No Bull Buyers Guide" to get EST. HP we could separate them that way, but hey thats just my opinion. what do you guys think?

Seperating them by stock horse power to me seems like the right thing to do. I know the arguement could go on and on but when it comes down to it if the sled has 140 hp then it has 140 hp, not 118-22. 600's are 118-22 and 700's are 140ish so why wouldn't the run with the 7's. Last week at Shawnee a 1000 stroke in the 600 class made it through 3 heats to make the finals and finished second in the finals only to a Rev 440 if I am correct. And those 440's are just simply quick.

Maybe i`m wron here but aren`t the 3 cylinder yamaha`s comaparable to a 600? I can`t see how a 4 cylinder 1000 4stroke can be considered a 600. They have alot more horsepower than any 600 out there.

no it wasn't a 440 it was a 03 600 rev that won that class.

can you put up the address for mapquest purposes? I am coming from Niagara Falls and am guessing that its 2 hours. Also, is there a tree and are you allowed a couple of test passes?
catattack57
The address on the flyer: NYS Steam Pageant Grounds, Gehan Rd, off Route 5 & 20, Cananadaigua NY 14424, and they had lights for the starting line last year. No practice last year, don't know about this year.

Fees are:

20 dollars a class to race. No added ins.

when you first come into the pits the driver and one pit crew member will get in. (there fee is included in your 20 for the class) all remaining people with you must pay 5 dollars to get in.
