Machine was purchased used and is out of warranty. It's all pulled down at the moment installing an elec. start kit. Wondering how much trouble there has been with them? Is it worth replaceing them just cuz?

I would change them now before snow flies. I thought there was a bulleton on them, or maybe just the 06 600' Have your dealer do a unit inquiry and see if your serial # qualifies.

Are the boots dry rotting? Mine were less than a year old and had already started to crack. This was on my 06. Polaris knew about the problem before the 07 production run started, but I guess that doesn't mean anything.
