I have 2 matching Indy Trail 500's that I use at my cabin for my teenage son's(and me)
I've already purchased new Torsion springs,Kimpex gold (gas) rear arm shock,all new bearings.
Should I spend the additional money on a new spring(dealer) and shock for the front arm?
spring=$60
shock =$70
Thanks for any help/info
This is a great site for info

Send the Kimpex shock back. they are junk and you will be replacing it next year.
been there done that.

Find a set of used rebuildable FOX shocks.

Ok,It should'nt be a problem returning the shock
I guess e-bay will be my best shot for Fox Shocks
Thanks for the input...

Check the rear scissor for fracture in the area the torsion spring wraps around it.

Yes to fox!

NO SPRING, YES TO THE SHOCK, BUT CHECK FOR CRACKING ON THE BLACK FRONT ARM FOR THE LIMITING STRAPS WHERE IT MOUNTS TO THE SKID, I HAVE HAD THEM WELDED AND EASY TO FIX WHEN ITS APART

I JUST GOT SOME ON HERE 100.00 FOR BOTH REAR. EVEN IF HAVE TO REBUILD TOTAL COST WILL BE 160.00 .... SO PICK UP SOME USED EBAY, HERE, SNOW WEST, SLED FANATICS

THANKS for all the input
I'll probably just put the kimpex in the one,and look for a set or 2 of Fox shockson e-bay
Since I have 2 identical sleds I'm real curious to see the difference with the type of riding they see
Thanks again

I put kimpex shocks on my sled 2 years ago (skis and rear position in skid). Would have done the front skid shock too, but could not find a Kimpex part number that would fit? So, I got another Polaris (Airvex?) shock for that position. Left that coil over spring, replaced the torsion springs with the heavier spring for my fat ass, replaced some bearings and haven't had a problem.
