I just bought a new 07 700 Dragon. I have read everyones coments on the position of the brake light. I see the 08 has added a channell for the electric cable and moved the light to the rear of the tunnel. Can this channel be added to the 07 tunnel so i can get the brake light on the end of the tunnell? Has anyone tried this yet?

I'd say if you can't find the channel in the parts diagrams, try using a section of 1/8" diameter stainless brake line from the seat base to the rear light (above or below the tunnel) and secure it to the tunnel with brake line fasteners.

Why even bother? If you want to carry gas you will have to make a bracket some how or buy a bracket to use? (I guess if you pack alot of stuff along and have a large spare tank you would want to move it but personally I like it on the seat, flipped over so its outta the way of your foot when you swing it over!) Am I missing a benefit to have it on the back??

The only benefit of having it on the back that I can see is that you can use the bigger (and more expensive, almost double in price) bag for carrying oil. goggles, and other necessities. The storage bag that I have on mine can carry, and I'm not kidding when I say this is, 2 liters of oil and a baloney sandwich. And that's IT.
