Are you asking about a Port-A-Tree or an Intercomp lap timer with twin beacons for measuring E.T.'s only?

There are several products out there, but I use an Intercomp lap timer, it measures only E.T., I also have a Port-a-Tree.

the ET only system

Use to use the Intercom Lap timer with multiple beacons and then add up the accumulated time. You can buy additional beacons and then measure them out at set lengths. That way you not only get a ET (with some math) but you can see if your gaining or losses ET out of the hole or in the top end.

Complete lap timer with case is #360050, you would also need an extra beacon,# 500397, and 2 tri-pods, like from a camera store, I bought ours from Wal-Mart, you can also buy a printer to record your runs on paper, the computer will store 250 runs, and play them back on it's screen, or you can clear the time each session and play only the one.
Intercomps phone number is: 1 800 328 3336 -- fax 763 476 2613

Depends on whether they consider you a retail sale or a racer,-- should be $300 & and $85 for each extra beacon, prices may have changed some, best to call or fax.

You can also use PVC pipe with a base and fill with sand for your tri-pods. A good idea is to paint them florescent orange or any bright color other then off white. That's another story.

Yup, works just as good, seen several races where they use pvc.
