Yesterday my brother and I went riding on an old rail trai not to far from my house. We were about 30 miles down the trail and I was going about 50 and I heard a pop and the motor bogged and died. I replaced the plugs and it didnt start. So I checked if it had spark and it didnt. So I had a nice rest of the day getting towwed behind a viper until the rope broke ooh4.gif . Eventually someone let us use a tow rope and park in their yard until we could get the truck and trailer and load it up. So what do you think could be the problem? I think its either the coil or CDI. Thanks in advance.

TRY AND CHECK THE KILL SWITCH ON THE BARS. THEY HAVE A SAFTY SWITCH IN THE THROTTLE. YOUR SLED SHOULD HAVE A BYPASS PLUG IN THE TOOL BAG. WHEN YOU PUT THIS IN IT WILL BYPASS THE KILL SWITCH AND THE KEY IS THE ONLY WAY TO STOP IT. I HAD THIS PROBLEM ON MINE.

YOU WILL NOT HAVE SPARK IF THE SAFTY SWITCH IS BAD !!!!!!!

AC HAS A PLASTIC INSERT THAT GOES ON THE THROTTLE WHERE THE PIN IS. IT WILL FILL THE GAP WHICH CAUSES THIS PROBLEM.

What did the plugs look like when you removed them from the sled? If you are running along the trail and it just quits, then it will not likey be a fouled plug causing the problem. Remove the Y-pipe from the cyilinders so you can inspect the piston skirts and rings. Check the plugs to see if they show signs of lean conditon.

I checked the spark plugs, and it was running a little rich. It has also already had the kill switch problem awhile back and we fixed that. Even if their is something wrong with the motor, wouldnt still have spark?
