Does anyone know if Canadian Tire has or is planning another huge sale this year on their Shell Ultra synthetic oil?
Or any other great deals on other brands of good oil that you have heard of?
thanks.

Don't know about the stinky stuff from Can Tire, But I did manage to get a great deal on a 6lt drum of Ipone, $440, works out to just under $30 per 4 lt jug ......... the place I got it from isn't selling Ipone anymore, so he sold me his last drum for cost

Canadian Tire has a 5,000 square foot booth at the upcoming Powersports show on October 12,13 14 at the International Center. I know they had a pile of the Advance synthetic SNOWMOBILE oil there last year, I do not know if it was on sale and for how much. As well I am sure that Royal Dist. will have many different types of oil available, I do not know what specials they may offer. Perhaps only tax off?

That might be a good source for it.
I cannot remember which day I attended the show last year - but I specifically asked at the CTC booth for that oil and they did not have it. Could have been sold out at that time - don't know. Sounds like they may have a larger booth this year. Ended up having to get it when on sale in the store. They have had the in store sale for 2-3 years now.
CTC usually puts it on sale for $26.99 a gallon + tax. So you can use that price as a comparison.
Shell used to have it's own booth and sold it directly but have not the last couple of years. They sold it for $30 a gallon taxes in. Don't know if they will be back this year.
Royal carries it in their catalogue as a stock item at $39.95 + tax.

Why is Royal not carrying Bardahl anymore????
I know of 4 other guys that use it but now they have to find it somewhere else

Hey Nutter how do you like the Ipone, since i can not get the Bardahl anymore I might switch to Ipone or Shell(I used Shell 5 years ago)

I had the opportunity to buy one of those big drums of Ipone from a buddy for $300, good deal, but since I didn't use the stuff, just stuck with the regular expensive synthetic. So, like Freezie asked, how do you like the Ipone? (the wife thinks I'd be a sissy to have exhaust that smells like strawberries!!).
Thanks.

I haven't used anything but Ipone for the last 6 or 7 years, it's usually pretty expensive $39 to $45 for 4lt, and sometimes hard to find (real pain in the ass to carry along when saddle bagging) ........ I usually find a bulk deal every year and split it up with a bud or two depending on if I have some left over from the year before.
The upsides for me
I love the fact no one that rides behind me complains about having a headache or sore throat or eye's, another plus is next to no odor on my gear. As for my power valves zero deposits since I started using it (mind you I still believe how you ride, oil pump rate, fuel quality and jetting ??? dictates valve deposits more than anything) but it's truly unbelievable how much difference there was for my sled, I was using fully sinth Aimsoil before, I was happy with it but didn't like the strong smell and what it left behind on my riding gear and valves. The difference was like night and day. Plus I also noticed cooler running temps and a small fuel mileage gain with it.
Another thing with running Ipone is you have to try and time things right at the end of season, and run another oil for a least an hour or so before storing (I use Aimsoil for this) The reason is an Ipone rep told me Ipone has no rust inhibitors in it, even with fogging I still like to run something else through for my last rip to be sure. I think it's the rust inhibitors that cause the strong smell and headaches, sore eyes and throats, in the other oil.
This is just my view on the stuff, I've had a few buddy's switch to it and all of them have stayed with it so far.

Royal use to sell it cheap but now that it is popular they cranked the nprices. I buy off local guy who sells it cheaper than Royal and well under costs of Castrol/ Amsoil/Shell etc.
