farmers almanac is kid's stuff. basically the enquirer of knowledge. the nostradamus of info. bullshit. i'd have to say no none knows but the warmer weather should keep the lakes warm for lake effect snow. we'll see.

Hate saying this, but WTF.....80 degrees for the rest of the week. I'd say were about a month behind schedule on the weather. I hope I'm wrong.....but getting kinda sick of this hot weather. If this keeps up til next weekend, I'll be in shorts and a t-shirt for opening day of bow season.

KINDA sick? this freaking blows. feels like i should be going boating rather than to the sled show today. i'm getting sick of hearing the weathermen and many others talking about how nice this is. keep your fingers crossed, and as someone already mentioned, the warmth now may pay off later with lake effect.

If my memory serves me correct, hot and dry summers are usually followed by snowy winters.
All of this extra sunshine heats the great lakes up, which equals lots of lake effect snow come this winter.

God I hope we have lots and lots of snow in the genesee/wyoming county areas as well as all over NY for the rest of my sled head brothers!

guys, guys, guys. easy now. remember that the lakes are going to stay warmer and possibly give us the lake effect snow deep into january. we gotta keep our spirits up. last year the weather changed like a switch, i think we should hope for the same only a lil earlier this time.

Grampa always said... If the ponds are low you'll see snow. Every pond I have seen is almost dry!!! I think we'll be ok!
