If i remove my front rad and replace it with a SLP removal kit, will i run into overheating problems with slow trail driving.

In low or bad snow conditions, I would say definently yes. I know mine runs all the way up to 190-195* in those conditions and I don't care about 6lbs of wieght that much.
My BMP exhaust can saved me more than that and sounds better now too.
I have tried it both ways. w/o it, the sled runs 190's a lot. You either need to be riding fast and spinning your track or in loose snow to keep it below 190. Definately runs cooler with the rad installed. Note that I was running 28 timing, a tight squishband and Bikeman pipe mod.

Don't do it. It's not worth it. I tried it last year and the sled would never run under 165*. You'd have to add additional cooling somewhere else.

I removed the rad from my switchback and temps will bounce off the 190 degree mark when snow is scarce.

I know that when I open my vent (the flap above front rad) when it's warm or low snow, I see a pretty big difference (reduction) in temperature, so the rad definitely does it's job, I don't know why anyone would get rid of it for 6 pounds...just put one less gallon of gas in when you want to hit the lake...or get some exercise and lose 6 pounds yourself!
I doubt the Polaris engineers stood around and said "let's add 6 unnecessary pounds of non-functional weight"...although some unhappy 05 900 owners might beg to differ!
