I was wondering if there is anything different or unique when reloading nickle cartridges over brass cartridges? I have a few for my 7MM WSM and will be reloading about 50 rounds after elk season using my dads reloader. All are brass except 10 that I tried out once with the ballistic silvertips by Winchester. Too much destruction but I would like to use them as a reload.

I reload both for my 7mm rem. mag, the only thing I will say is becareful and check the cases for expansion before reloading them, might have to be trimmed down also, the nickel, doesn't have the memory or durability as the copper, what kind of powder are you using??

Thanks for the reply. I think I am just going to use the brass I got and buy more. 20 rounds of nickel cartridges can go in the trash.

I havn't decided or looked into powders yet. I havn't reloaded with my father since high school so I am just getting into it as an adult again.
