I was wondering if any of you have gone from Firecat to M chassis. I really want to go to a 141 M8, but wondering how any of you found the change.
I love my Firecat, but I'd love to have something with a little more footprint..

I've asked my dealer to find me an 07 M8 141.

If you do mostly off trail riding get the M if not the crossfire is a good choice

I did the exact same thing and have 0 regrets! I've had two firecats and now the M8 141. I did almost everything I could do to a firecat to make it deep snow capable and it just was never gonna be an M.The M will feel a lil bigger and lil heavier and not quite as flickable but the floatation and deep snow capabilities are much improved, you'll be able to float along 1/4 throttle when you'd be pinned on the firecats.Starting out is a breeze on the M's,where as the firecats trench bad if your not careful. The 07M's are stiff, even the non snopro's.Im 190 geared up and its still a stiffer ride on the trails. The riding position is much improved on the M's over the firecats for stand up offtrail riding. The clutching is way off on the 07's,so upgrade to at least the 08 specs or another good known setup.

I think for your riding area the M8 141 will be a good choice,as long as you dont wanna climb the steepest and deepest the fastest, but instead want a playful, agile deep snow sled, get the 141!

Thanks Duality....

I'm not too worried about climbing the steepest and deepest, I've seen it done, and it takes more guts than I have. My Firecat does okay in the snow around here, but I want something a little longer. I figured my next sled would be a 136, but for the few days we get deep stuff, I think it'll be worth having the 141. I ride mostly off trails. I basically only use the trails to get to our riding location (20miles). Then its all rolling hills and steep stuff.

I guess my next question is M8 or M6. I have a lead on both, but the 8 is $1200 more. Would you pay the extra for the added HP? I know most people would.
Duality
M8 is the way to go forsure-you'd pay more trying to gain the extra 20 hp and gobs of torque thru aftermarket stuff-just anty up the coin now and get the 8!
