Holy shit he's got a beaute for a rack!
I'll be on the quest for one here in NH in a couple weeks. My dad has a cow permit and I'm the sub.
What's the spread on him? Gotta be about 60"

Congrats to Pop, thats a nice bull!!
Would love to get drawn someday here in Maine, but i know people who've applied for 25 years and never been drawn, and i know others that have been drawn 2 and 3 times.....and i think i'm on pace to break that 25 year streak. The process Sucks!!
i think the spread was 45" on this one and 54" on the one he got back in 77. In MN they changed the law and now your only allowed to hunt moose once but he got grandfathered in because the first moose was so many years ago.
guestimated the weight at around 1200 lbs or so. he was very happy to have got this moose as there are not as many moose in MN as there use to be because we have a huge population of timberwolves.
it took the party 5 hours to gut it,skin it and cut it up and load it in the truck LOLOL

Wow, only one moose for life?? In northern manitoba, we have a general season every year. A few friends took moose close to or just over 60in this year. First time out for me this year and I took a calf. Not very big, but very very tasty. A little over 100 lbs of meat cut, boneless.
