Over the summer i picked up a 1996 Fourwinns Fling jet boat with a 115 hp omc turbojet motor. I have never owned a boat untill now, any ideas on how to winterize it. I would rather do it myself rather than pay someone any help is apprecated thanks

If that is an inboard engine take it to someone to winterize. I have heard of too many stories where people winterized their inboards only to find cracked blocks in the spring.... It isn't worth it. If it is your typical two stroke just run anti-freeze through the flush and fog the carbs/cylinders.

It is an inboard. I called around and places want like 165.00 and up guess i thought i could save some money and do it myself but like you said i dont really know what im doing and it will be a lot more if i do it wrong

Its a jet just like a jetski. You need to find the main inlet hose for the water. Normally, like on a jetski, it comes off the pump on the outside(OUT THE BACK OF THE BOAT) and goes through the hull. Disconnect that hose coming off the pump going into the hull. Get a funnel to fit in the hose. Start the engine let it idle Start dumping antifreeze in the funnel. Continue to do so until it comes out on the ground through the pump, Green or red or whatever color you use. After it starts coming out, Hit the carbs with fogging oil until the motor dies. Hook your hose back up, Put in some stabil. make sure the boat is drained of all water. And store.

Some of the jetboats use outboard engines eventhough it might appear to be inboard. Is the flywheel on top? If it is like a jetski, you just find the flush hose, run anti-freeze through it till you see it come out of the cooling line exit... but continue to do this for a little while after you see it coming out. You would spray the carbs full of fogging oil till the engine stops running (flooded) and spray fogging oil in the cylinders and crank it (kill switch off so it doesn't start) to give everything a good coating.. Much like a sled.
