FUSIONPOWER
I have the opportunity to buy an 07 fst iq, with 270 miles on it, for what I think is a fair price. Been a 900 fusion rider and love it, but it's time to move up a couple of years. I have heard nothing but good about the 07's, and just wondering from some owners if it's as good as it sounds. I'll be selling my 05 fusion either way. Like I said, love the sled, just time to move up a couple of years.

My 2 cents

I own a 07 IQLX.

It does have the"M10/128 track" other than that very compairable.

If your looking for a great trail sled its about as good as you can find.

If your riding a fusion 900 the IQ will still make you smile. They are "sneeky fast"

Smooth ,quiet power. and no smell.

It does not show its weight in the trails.

Its pulls very nicely, and it handles the twisties with ease.

Im seeing better then 15mpg when you hammer on it all day.

If I run slower [35-45 group riding] it ranges fron 17-19 mpg

I have had 0 problems, ZERO! It has been flawless.

Personally I think Polaris threw gobs of R&D at the 07 FSTs

And they got it right. IMO

fusion
I had a 2005 900 fusion last year and on the way home from ontario we stopped at the dealer and they where having end of the year specials ,so I picked up a 2007 fst IQ .

Can not wait too ride it this winter.
Octane
It seems that the people who leaves their sleds mostly stock dont have problems but that the people who mess with them (such as turning up the boost) are the ones having issues.
One thing to remember though is that an IQ Turbo/FST is considerably heavier than your Fusion and that might not be something that you want.
FST
I would do the 07 and not the 06. If you think leaving the 06 stock will save you you are wrong. The simple matter is some were completely trouble free and the next one was just the oppisite.

I have riden both an 05 900 and 06 FST Classic. 07 FST IQ (non LX) will feel lighter on trail with no vibration. If you get a fast FST the 900 will not stay with it on a lake. If you get a slow one the 900 will run over it over 80. From the bottom the FST should be quicker.

lukester,

Polaris did not do squat for R & D in 07. they releasted the sled a year early so there dealers and customers could do it for them. biggest thing different between 06 and 07 - 08 are the electricial wiring. They have cleaned it up and that was the cause of a lot of the problems. Plus about 3 cpu reprograms.

I found an 07 FST IQ in the Sunset Orange @ $7400 new with 3 year warrantee. southern MN.
Is this simalar to your pricing on the east coast?

I see your point as I owned a 06 FST.

I was however one of the lucky ones. I had relatively few issues.

But I did feel like a guinny pig on the first couple runs.

I still liked the 06. It was one heck of an improvment over the edge chassis

The 07 has
a improved ski stance [spindles]
wireing updates
reflash's
differant gas tank,gas guage.
more heat insulation
better heat venting
and I believe a differant turbo

There are a few improvements on the 07s IMO
