I torn down a 1974 Rupp Sport 340 and don't have the time to put it back together so I'm parting it out. Let me know if you need anything before I take the time to list the parts on ebay. Email me at jeffkraeger@yahoo.com.

Does that sled have the Tahatsu engine? If so is the cdi box any good?

I believe its the Tahatsu engine - I know it said made in Japan so I assume by the name that it is.
Can the CDI be metered to see if it's good? If have a repair manual at home - I'll have to see if it lists the resistance values. If you know what they should be then send me an email and I'll check it out. Or if you bought it and it doesn't work I'll just refund you the money.

They usually don't have resistance values listed. That type of test on a CDI isn't always accurrate. It's a matter of plugging it in to a known good system and trying it. How much $ we talkin? I mite be willing to try it if the price is right.

Thanks,
Steve

I don't know. Looks like the last one that sold on ebay went for $70. Make me an offer. I'll get you the part numbers and engine type tonight when I get home.
