I'm going to buy a 2005 Mach Z with some mods done to it. I need to know what WORKS & WHAT DOESN'T. The sled I'm considering has Crank Shop Twin Pipes, TFI Box, V-Force Reeds, Advanced Timing (not sure how much), Chuckaroo Porting & Chuckaroo Clutching. Any idea about how much all these mods cost? Are they worth it & do they WORK well without creating reliability concerns?!? The seller claims the sled is trailable... what do you guys think? I'm paying around $6000 IF I buy it. HELP!

If you are going to camp out on the lake and race it should be a good sled provided it has been well cared for by it's original owner. Also everything needed to be installed and set up correctly in order to get the power. A sled like that needs a lot more care and feeding than a stock or mildly modded one. If you don't know what you are doing you could chase your tail forever. You need to know the sled and be mechanically inclined and ready to tinker. Twin pipes are more finicky than the stock single. Clutching will be more sensitive to environmental changes and will need to be adjusted more often. The TFI box needs to be set up correctly and if the timing is advanced you may be looking at 93 octane fuel minimum. Watch out for bunk gas up there in the northwoods.
