I am in need of a new skid for my 01 XCSP Edge 800. I found a Pro-X skid with a clicker very reasonable and local. Wondering if it will bolt in and work properly or if the bolt holes need to be relocated and braced? Also are there any negatives going to a Pro-X skid from an Edge skid? Thanks for any advice.

I think the mounting holes are a little different. Even if you have to drill new holes it'd be worthwhile.

The ride will be considerably rougher than what you're used to, but the ProX skid is a tough SOB. It has a longer front torque arm so you'll have to relocate that hole. I think the back hole is the same BICBW.

All holes move. mounting specs are on my web site

Rebuild your edge skid, I have a 04 prox 800 and I put a edge skid in. They just work better for trail and agressive trail riding.
IMO.
