Im just doing my ruetine maintanance on my xcsp 600 I cleaned my power valves they were pretty clean but noticed the springs on the valves should I change them or not my sled has 3200 miles on it and I saw in the parts book that offers different rate springs shoul I leave stock .

Some that have played with them (like me) have done so to get the valves to open a little earlier than stock (using a little lighter spring). This can give a seat of the pants feel (when the valves open) similar to an engine coming on to the pipe. Can also let you play with more mid to 3/4 punch for hard play. The downside though, is significantly lower gas milage.......and potential drivability problems due to overly sensitive throttle at certain speeds. Valves opening and closing all the time can make you crazy if they're doing it at a speed right where your buddies are riding - speed up, slow down, speed up, etc. For that reason, I wouldn't recommend it. You be the judge, just don't get carried away if you want to mess with them. If they open too early, you end up with a big bog.
