Hey guys, just wondering if we wnat to try to get together before the season starts. once the snow starts flying it seems that everyone has their own thing going on. just a thought! maybe try to find a spot that is central and shoot the shit, drink some beer, whatever.

I heard you were renting a hall and providing free booze and "exotic dancers".

now that we have a good idea of where everyone is from lets try to put something together. there are a few choices. we could find a bar/restaurant with a large area to meet, have drinks, dinner, or someone mentioned a hall?? that would cost, wheras a bar, if we told them that we would be bringing 40 people, they would love us! buy a few halfs of beer and some food an what not. next thing, what day, sat. or sun?? friday night? no matter where we choose to do this someone will have to drive, so i vote for a saturday. start it somewhat early in the day thus giving everyone a chance to at least stop in and say hi. if someone wants to spend the night we will have to find the local hotels. i think that it would be kinf of neat to go somewhere that has something to do with snowmobiling. maybe a bar/restaurant on the trail system, or if someone on here owns a bar or something?!?!

Why not plan a group ride in the U.P. I have access to an apartment/condo building in White Pine. My buddy owns it, and i could get cheap rates..............

that would be a great idea!!! count me in!! instead of all of us getting together and talking about sledding, why don't we just get together and sled!!

if we were to do this i would probably backpack it from tomahawk up to white pine. we could make meeting spots along the way to pick people up that would be interested in doing it this way. something like i did 2 years ago.

early friday morning leave tomahawk picking up people along the way. arrive at white pine on friday night. spend saturday driving around with everyone. early sunday morning pack up and head back south!!! just a thought! i like doing that when my buddies stay up in the up because when they are in the car driving, i am on the sled.

I am pretty much available every weekend all winter!! i was thinking of something like this:

friday morning: meet in tomahawk/rhinelander area with everyone that can make it. head north to Hurley during the day taking a nice route meeting other people that cannot make it in the morning. arrive friday night in hurley/ironwood and meet everyone else! go out to eat or other activities on silver street.

saturday morning: leave hurley and head north to the UP, again meeting people that could not meet up on friday night. arrive at white pine or silver city, white pine would be cool, especially if we can get a deal on someplace to stay!

sunday morning: make the trip back to your starting destination. head back to hurley and from there go our seperate ways. if a group of people can stay until monday, we can figure something out!

Im new to Wisconsin and this forum. I did most of my riding in Wyoming. I'd go on this ride for sure. Meeting in Tomahawk would work for me. Days off are not a problem. just pick dates.
