I've got a S1-IS that I really like. The only thing I wish it had is a light to help the auto-focus in dim conditions and I believe the S3 does.

You can get the S5 online for $290.00 rockernana.gif

I believe I saw that same camera at Wal-Mart for $255.

I have the S2-IS (last model) and it is excellent for a near SLR type.

Did lots of research prior to purchasing it and so far I have not been disappointed.

I've had mine for close to a year now...couldn't be happier with it. The zoom is what convinced me; 12x zoom with 6 MP is generally better than 3x zoom with 8 MP. You wont be dissapointed!

I've got the S3 and love it. The zoom is outstanding and the picture quality is pretty good too. Here's a link from a car show where I used this camera if you want any convincing that the pictures it takes are good.

You can do better on price than 349. I got mine for 299 at least 6 months ago and since then the S5 has become available.

I have one, and wouldn't buy another. I love the zoom, and the pictures it takes when it feels up to taking a good picture, but I find it very hit and miss on the auto settings. I prefer using my older Canon A60 and will be selling the S3 to get something else.
canona650
you know, in my opinion its better to buy canon a650
it has 12.1MP, 6x optical zoom and other great options
