Is this unusual for a turkey? It's not an albino, but I've never seen one like this... wtf.gif

Kind of hard to tell.. was its whole body like that? Its deffinately not truly albino though.

It's like a piebald deer...Kind of a off-white with tan patches. I found some other pics where they are calling them "smokey grey" turkeys, a kind of rare color phase.

Got lots of them here in mid Mich. Just saw a hen come out with 14 little ones. Had 4 smokies in that bunch alone!!

I saw one this summer near Rhinelander that was much closer to 'albino' than it was to 'smoky'. The only colored feather were on the tips of the wings & tail.

Here in the thump of Michigan it is not uncommon to see white turkeys, last fall I had a white hen come in on several different occasions when I was hunting back on some state land. I do not know if they would be albino or if there is such a thing as an albino turkey but whatever they are they are cool to see.

Actually it is from inbreeding with domestic turkeys. There are at least four roaming around in our fields here in central MN. We have at least 200 turkeys on our 700+ acres, it is insane!! They are everywhere!!
