Gil,I hope you have better luck selling your sled!I've had nothing but a bunch of "tire kickers" with everyone interested person asking me what my "bottom dollar price is".It's like they want me to practically give the machine to them.Does anybody have a income these days or do they collect cans on the side of the road?......I have another sled ordered but,I will sit on my F7 until I get a reasonable offer.......Did you buy a 4 stroker??

Fact is, Low snowfall, Rapidly evolving technology, and a large surplus of sleds has caused the used market to fall way off. Trade in value is much worse than private sale prices.

So unless we get a few bumper years to rekindle riding and bring people back into the sport, prices for used equipment will remain low.

In conversation on the trail TOMWHIT mentioned the brand you disliked the most because everybody rides one. ooh4.gif ......The riding position finally sold me so I guess I will be DOOin' the VAST trails this year.

Since your sled is not a EFIR I take it there is no reverse.

6,000 is still to high by a thousand.

Actually that price is litterally on the money!Bluebook price on 06' F7snopro EFI in very clean condition is $5900.I know because I own the identical sled. It's shame because for the most part prospective used sled buyers try their best to get the sled for nothing.Currently each person who has shown interest in my sled has mentioned the schoolboy term,"what's your bottom dollar price?"I'm allset with this bargaining approach! In this day and agesleds are kept in heated garages, washed, waxed etc and not to mention the 06'Fcat was the most refined of all the other Fcats that came before it!..Sorry I hope I didn't hijack your thread with my rant.

I don't see the problem with asking what a sellers bottom price is. I like a deal like anyone else, but don't want to play the low ball game and go back and forth until we get a happy medium. I will ask someone there bottom price and then decide if its the sled I want. I don't have to buy the sled if I feel its too high, and the seller doesn't have to sell it to me, if he thinks its too low. There are a bunch of 06 F-7 sno pros out there now. It is a buyers market for the used sleds. I will buy the cleanest, lowest mile F-7 for the best reasonable price. Buyers and sellers both have to be realistic though. Good luck with your sales guys! ZR

sorry to hijack,

but you also need to consider what you can get at the dealer for almost the same price. Leftovers are everywhere. Its a buyers market. Many of the guys with machines 2-3 years old with low miles are getting hosed. Many of them are asking way to much money, especially in some instances when you go to the dealer and get the same machine(sometimes NEWER & CHEAPER) for the same price and a warranty. Also the blue book (crap)[NADA better] price and for what it actually will sell for are 2 different things.

just my 2 cents,
apexrtx06
if that is the blue book you should just trade it in. Most dealers will give you above blue book dealers on your trade in. I know this year when i traded in my apex I got $200 over what the KBB was. Plus I only paid taxed on the remaining amount due after trade in. When you put into consideration that a 10K sled will have $600 in tax it is sometimes worth while to trade in.
tapp1
i am just saying the value of the sled and price it actually sells for are sometimes 2 different things especially when there are some many leftovers and we have sub-par winters.

Wow...You guys are brutal! I don't think he asked for an opinion? He's asking what he wants........If you don't like it just STFU and don't post! imo.gif
