2001 Honda Foreman 450S. Battery is brand new. Was running it the other day and it stalled out. Started back up fine, and then 20 minutes later, after being shut off, would not start again. Again, brand new battery, seems to be getting fuel. Took the seat off and as I try to start it I can hear a popping in what I think is the starter solenoid (it's positioned behind the battery and wired to the positive post). When I replaced the battery awhile back, the negative connection was not good. It had caused the negative post to melt, most likely due to arcing. Thinking this may have something to do with it. Any ideas? New to Hondas...

i believe it might have something to do with it, also check your fuses.

Pull the seat off again and open up the airbox for a look. Mice build nests in there and can really plug it up from getting air. Check the fuse block and make sure it"s not all corroded as well. We had both problems with our bikes.

Not exactly sure what it is, but I pulled the battery out, brushed the posts, checked the fuse box to make sure all fuses were seated, threw it back together and it started up. Thanks for the help fellas.
