I’ve got a hypothetical scenario: Let’s just say I bought my girlfriend a Nikon Coolpix L5 for Christmas last year. And let’s just say her Great Dane got a hold of it today. The dog bit it hard enough on the LCD display to cause 2/3 of the screen to be all black and pretty much render it useless. Can I replace the LCD panel? Or is the camera now junk and its time for a new one? THANKS!

someone must know if this can be replaced or if the camera is now junk

You can get a screen replaced, but it would probably be better just to get a new camera. By the time the labor is figured into the cost with the screen replacement, you could probably have a new camera for $20 more.

what was the dog doing taking pics?
