I changed my engine from a chevy 230 inline 6 cylinder to a 258 ( i think) in line 6.

Question is what is the approximate hp and recomended wide open throttle rpm.

And what pictch prop. Right now I have a 15 and it will rev up 5500

Do you have the 900? The 230 engine was rated at 150hp, the 250 was rated at 160-165hp. I don't know what the rpm's are suppose to be for either engine at WOT but you can figure loosing roughly 200 rpm per 1 increase in prop pitch.

The polaris is the 900, and its fast. Thanks for the input on the Searay.
