I would like to pick up an older triple this year. I always thought the ZRTs were sweet looking sleds. Are the 600 and 800 ZRTs depenable sleds(99-02)? Do they handle decent?Any big issues or recalls? I would use it mostly for long rides on railtrails and in the U.P., so it has to be pretty reliable. Thanks In Advance.

I think they're great sleds,I had a 97 600zrt ,and now have a 2001 600ZRT.they're fast ,rugged, dependableand tested true. Some say they're heavy, not enough to bother me.I haven't found any problem with them fracturing or cracking ,seem to be sturdy.I jetted mine down from stock, and got rid of the knotched weights in the clutch, and changed clutch springsand run amsoil syn.
No Regrets.

I have an 02 zrt 600 for sale. Excellent condition. Well set up and rails trails like a zr with tripple power and sound.
Bought new end of 03 season, so only three winters. Only selling because I am looking to get a crossfire in the stable.
Pm if interested.

They are sweet! Had a 1996 zrt 600. First year production of the 600 and had the most horsepower! 125hp that year! Then they dropped them to 118 and then went back up to 120. I rode the heck out of mine. the only problem I had was a couple chains and keeping 1 1/4'' paddle tracks on it cause of the power! traded it off in michigan on a trip with 6200 miles on it. Still ran perfect! One thing with all those tripple's, If they start to feel kinda sluggy and not all there, Put a new belt on and hold on!
