well the topic says it all. has anyone put a triple in the IQ racer chassis?? i'm tossing the idea around of what motor to put in an IQ, and really love my 800 triple's power. if it's possible, i think i'm going to do it.

Here is one from Snowest, its a 1200cc watercraft bottom end but thats about all I know about it. Looks like they had to take some of the supports out or moved them to make it fit, but it has been done.

Here's a full mod race 800 XCR engine in an IQ. Done by Larry Rugland Motorsports for Fettig Racing. Required reworking of shock tower(s). Ran very well at MT Brighton hillclimb Mar 24/25. 2007. Took numerous trophies. 200 + hp
Might be for sale, but not cheap.

It can be done. My brother has the same 1200 wc triple as seen above. He is fitting his now. Brad at power addictions has a plate that just drops in. Very little adjustment. Can't run a headlight but who needs one of those.lol The bro has the motor in and is waiting on CS pipes. If you contact brad(1200psi) on snowest he may have a plate for you. He gave me one for my ubr9 that is slick. Great guy to talk to. With a plate you can send it to crankshop and they will fab pipes to run. Saw larry's sled at MT B, ran very well, straight race pipes though, not trailable. Dan

thanks guys. now i just need to make a couple calls and start collecting parts. only problems i can see are the headlight and getting pipes fitted due to living in Alaska. it stays pretty dark in the winter and freight to ship the sled out for pipes is going to kill me.

The amount of money, time and skill some people have is beyond my ability to comprehend.

That is Brad's sled. He is 1200psi on SnoWest as somebody else mentioned. He builds alot of custom stuff and is pretty much the guy to talk to when you're putting a triple into a Pro-X or IQ. That motor is a 1200cc triple Polaris Watercraft bottom end. He uses 800 VES twin cylinders for the top end. There is ALOT of information on putting 1200's into Pro-X's and IQ's on SnoWest.

I hope you've got your reading glasses on:

If you get a plate made you can send just the plate to crank shop and they can fab up the pipes, that is what bob is doing for his 1200wc that he got from brad. You could give brad a call and pick his brain 435-881-6665. Be careful you will end up spending much more than expected. He will get you more excited than a 6 year old the night before christmas. Good fun, as for spending money his company title about sums it up POWER ADDICTION.lol As for the headlight you can use PIAA or a similar external mount. I refer to snowest for most of my IQ mods. Search the perf/mod section there is a post about external lighting. DAn

you guys know you're evil right?? well thanks for the ideas, and my wallet hates the info. looks like it's time to build a 1200wc or 1350wc motor for and IQ. i was planning on the XCR800 transplant since my XCR is sitting around and not really ridden, but know i have to step up and build something scarry. anyone know of a cheap IQ chassis in AK?? just talked to ER Polaris and they have and '06, but are higher than Cheech and Chong, they want $6400 for a roller without clutches. once i get the parts, i'll keep you posted on the build. thanks again, Brian

I'm starting to tingle! The ride of an IQ and the power of an XCR 800 triple. A sneaky combination that will have guys that ride other brands scratching their heads wondering what just happened. I like!!!!!
AKRAY4PLAY
does anybody have an email for Brad (1200PSI)?? my Snowest account garbles things up and will not allow me to send PM's or read personal profiles. thanks, Brian.
