my friend just picked up a 98 zrt 600 it was set up for grass drags and we just converted it back to factory set up(snow) now after spending $600 big ones for that the motor is running on 2 cylinders the middle one not firing i changed plugs pulled carb and cleaned it checked reeds (v force) and checked compression al;l good also have good spark fuel is also flowing through lines what can it be? any help please newcatrider ps my 04 f7 is kick ass

Is the carb flange cracked, possibbly sucking air? You could check by spraying some WD-40 on it while it's running and see if that cylinder starts. After running is the plug wet or not?

Hey new cat rider, check the choke cables where the single cable from the control lever junctions with the three cables going to the carbs. It will pull out somtimes especially if you have removed the plastic cowling that the choke lever is attatched to. Happend to me and it drove me nuts. The strange symptems caused by a partially choked engine will leave you scrathing your head.
