just wondering whether i should get a doo 440 seat or sell my seat and tank and get a polaris big tank, dont know if im really diggin the consumer doo seat
CROW
IMO sell the stock doo seat and get a BOSS. I know they're pricey, but well worth it. This combo on the IQ is the ticket.
snofevr083
o dont much care for the looks of the boss seats, i think they are ugly as h*ll IMO. im either gunna get a '04 and up doo 440x seat or get one of the polaris big tanks and an '06-'07 IQ seat
CROW
On second thought, you're right this is ugly as hell.

snofevr083
is that a smartass comment or r u being serious? dont get me wrong, that is a very very very nice sled, and i wuld take it any day, i didnt say that to offend you at all, its just preference, i think the boss seats are ugly, and its not just on these iq's, on any sle di have seen a boss seat i think stock looks better, but like i said, that is just my own opinion, but your iq is still a very very nice sled, even with the boss seat

I agree with you there. I don't like the look of Boss seats at all, but I'd have to say the one on the I.Q two posts above doesnt look to bad imo. I know theyre amazingly comfortable but in my personal preferance, I dont like the look of Boss Seats.

Cheers.

yes, they are comfy, but i dont sit down that much as it is, so why spend $550 on a seat that i dont really sit on that often?
CROW
I'm just messin' with ya. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion or we'd all be riding the exact same sleds. FWIW, i've heard that the Doo racer seat is extremely hard.
snofevr083
ahh, it aint that bad, but i could always tear it apart and replacs some of the foam with a softer foam, my gf do upholestry work, if thats even how u spell it, so she could give me a hand with that

I too thought the boss seats were weird looking until I saw lane530's sled with the new hardtail model. It's in the IQ440 pics topic started by bully....
snofevr083
ya, i saw that, idk, they are too high profile of a seat, i want something similar to a stock IQ seat, IMO that is the best looking seat on the sled. the only reason i would want to keep the rev tank is because of the larger fuel capacity, thats why i want a pic of a 440x seat on one of these to see if its any lower profile

I like the IQ 440 seat better than my REV 440 seat. The IQ seat is definately narrower and I can squeeze down harder on the narrower seat. This helps me with whips and manipulating the rear end of the sled in the air. The REV seat is no stiffer than the IQ seat. I have ridden it at some pretty cold temps and it stil was tolorable.

ya, i agree with you, especially for me, im kinda smaller, im inly 5'7" 140 lbs soaking wet, so i dont need a huge ass seat, the smaller seat the happier i am, kinda sorta, lol.

Her is my opinion. That fucker is bad ass. That looks better than the stock seat. Is that your sled.

The Boss on the iq racer looks awsome.. just my 2c

Hey PRO-EX, I had to copy your idea.

Love the seat and combo when I did my setup.

I do also like the stock seat look however when I did my project it was just as cheap to sell my 440 seat on ebay and buy a boss seat with a 10.5 rev tank. since the jay jay tanks were $500. I paid 100 for the rev tank new and $521 for a boss with the pocket and led taillight.

Below is a pic of a IQ with a trail Rev seat that I think looks horrible.

That is my favorite boss seat as of yet.
