Does anyone know what type of tool it takes to remove the back two bolts on the Edge rear suspension? I worked at it for a while using just about everything I had. It looks as if I may need a thin wrench of some size or another to hold the inner bushing/nut. I didn't try the impact, but I guess it would be an option, not sure how it would go back together if I did get it off, and then couldn't hold it while I tightened it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I use a Craftsman 7/8" - 3/4" thin combo wrench I got at Sears. The number on it is 44474.

I had a extra 7/8 wrench so i ground it down till it fit. Also when you put your suspension back in put the front bolts in first. I learned the hard way.

Impact gun..... never use a thin wrench ! Also remove the springs from the rubbing block on the lower skid frame and lift the sled off the ground by the back bumper! Theres a lot of stress on the rear bolts so dont forget to drop the springs, and put them back up on the rubbing blocks last after all four bolts are back in.... NEVERSIEZE everything so next time its easy!

Use an open end 7/8" wrench. Clearance is at a premium so a thin wrench works best. Some bolts came from the factory gooped pretty good with red loctite. Some heat applied to the bolt head might be in order. When reinstalling, I use red loctite on the threads.

Well I went and saw Uncle Craftsman and got myself a thin wrench, it worked like a charm. Now if I could only figure out what I'm going to do about rebuilding this position sensitive shock I'd be a happy guy!
Thanks for the responses.

It is kind of difficult to get on it, but had a friend help me and when the flats are oriented right you can get a small bite with a 7/8" open end. Had both of my shocks rebuilt by the local dealer and changed the bearings, also had alot of wear on the 9brass/bronze) bushings in the rear...all in all not too bad of a job...

Rebuilding that shock is a real PITA. Good luck!
