CARB BOOTS ARE STARTING TO CRACK HOW THICK ARE THEY SHOULD I REPLACE OR ARE THEY STILL GOOD TO GO?
simnil
Replace them! two pieces of rubber are cheaper than an enginge rebuild.

(i´m not sure which years it conserns but some Fusions had really crappy material in the carb boots, my friend works as a Polaris mechanic and they replaced the boots on some models before they even delivered the sled to the cosumer)

Pardon a question from an amateur in the english language, is Carb boot the correct term for this piece? In Swedish we usually say just "intake rubber"

replace the rubber intake mounts and get yourself a better pair of hose clamps, the stock Poo clamps tear and rip into the rubber causing them to crack and tear.. i use two clamps from a volvo s60 turbo (has rounded edges), i think it was the intercooler hoseclamps.. good luck thumbsup.png
