Well, ag440 was right. About 30kms south of Parry Sound on Saturday morning, bye-bye SUN, and hello rainy looking clouds. It did sprinkle a few times in town very lightly. I got up this morning (you know Toronto's forecast for today was for SUN and 35c) and it was nice and sunny in Parry Sound. So I headed south at 830am. It got darker and darker! I made it to the canal on the 400 when the rain began....still shitty and rainy here right now. Seems the weathermen can't get the
2 day forecast right!
There were some nice Duc's there. I don't know my Duc's but I seem to recall seeing a few that said 1098 on them....
So anyways, I had fun. Lots of people say it sucked, but for some reason they keep coming back every year!!
I had the KING of THE DYNO Shootout won all day until the last minute when a better tuned ZX12 tied me, then beat me by 1hp!!!!!!
Here's vid of my ZX14 on the dyno...
ZX14 dyno runs

Hey NOS, was it the blue one that beat you out? I was up there for a bit on Sunday but like you said, the sky didnt look friendly, so we headed back down through BALA 38 and home, what a great road that is! I wanted to put the RC on the dyno, but we just didnt have time. How much did it cost for a few runs?
87gtNOS
Jul 8 2007, 07:00 PM
The dyno was $30, he ran it a few times. He would also check A/F for you if you wanted at no extra cost. I am sure you could have changed your map there too!!
I was beat out by a 2003 ZX12, by ONE hp! It was the DARK red cosmic metallic colour, almost black, with gold rims. I think there was a little more done to it than just a full exhaust. He did mention something about a valve job....and he seemed to be up on 1270 big bores!
let me add this...
ALL Busa's made 155 to 158 rwhp. with slipons, one had a full Yosh.
Built 05 or 06 GSXR1000 on race fuel made 162. <
all other 1000's, ZX or GSXR made 150 to 155. One ZX10 made 158.
Vmax on nitrous made 158.
Two Brother full system ZX12 2001 made 167.
and the 03 ZX12 that beat me, made 172.

Here are some more pictures, this was one of the nicest customs I saw...
wont let me post it
was the VMAX the one with the 280-290 rear tire? that thing looked pretty sick.

Could you be over your limit for pictures?
I saw that Vmax go on the dyno!! It made 158 rwhp with nitrous!

O.K, that worked, so here is the custom and check out the exhaust, also here is the VMax, I think I saw Mad Max ride in on the thing!! It was funny to see a stock vmax across from it.

LOL!! I lived in North Bay for 5 yrs, that's Lightning Mike's GSXR750 with those little quad pipes!! It made 114 rwhp...due to that giant rear tire!!
Blackrevcaker
Jul 8 2007, 07:43 PM
Even my RC51 makes more HP then that, it has been dynod at 130, which isnt bad for the v-twin, they arnt known for big horsepower, but it also pulled 88ftlbs of torque, thats where the real fun is on my bike, its more of a rocket in the twists then a stand it up at 150 type of bike.
Well you can tell mike is bike was very trick, did he fab the pipes himself? my picture is bad though, you cant really tell that there are 4 pipes.

That is a good friend of mines bike, it has made 169hp in the past. He keeps contemplating selling one of his 18 or so bikes and putting a big bore in that 12.....(he has another zx12 just for backup....hahah)

I love the sound of the RC's, mine has a full front to back Jardine carbon Exhaust, power commander, HRC billet adjustable rearset, waved front rotors, Smoked Double bubble windshield, front flushmounts as well as leds, and a Worx Undertail Kit, still a few things Id like to do, but we will see.
I love the duals out the back, it almost better Up shifting to get the low rpm on the gas rummble, then downshifting and blowing by someone!!!

You guys ever ride county rd #13 from Severn River to Bala? Also called the Southwood Rd. 35 kms of non stop left right sweepers. All I hear from my house from April to October is sweet horsepower driving by. Always find a few lads in the pickers though, last year I saw an Asian dude stuff his bike about 25 yards into hardwood bush.

I talked to a couple guys at the end of my lane that were just taking a rest and they said that sometimes they will run it 10 times back and forth. Lots of car clubs meet up here to run it as well.

I've ran down it and turned around and done it again. It's hard not to. Two years ago sections were re-paved.
