Ok Folks I am a United States New Hampshire Resident.. and starting to look in to a vacation trip next sledding season.
I've been sledding for 30+ years and want a Revelstoke Sledding experience

My 1st obstacle is getting to BC I have my passport already so that's not a problem.. I have visited a few of the websites
and see there are different accommodation's.. which I can look thru.. and decide but my 1st Question which airport would be best to fly in to??

any suggestions would be great!!

Thanx

Probably your best bet would be to fly to calgary Alberta. Mostly likely the closest and largest international airport. Revy would be a 4 to 4 and a half hour drive away due west i believe.

You could fly to Vancouver, then on to Kamloops, it's a 2 hour drive from Kamloops to Revelstoke. Are you planning on renting a machine or bringing your own? You can rent sleds in Revelstoke or in Kamloops. There are lots of places to ride in B.C. between Kamloops and Revelstoke, near Kamloops there is Crowfoot and Grizzly, in Sicamous there is Owlhead and Hunters range, which goes over to Enderby. North of Kamloops there are Harp and Green, it's endless. But don't come to early, the snow will be deep but it needs time to settle or else you will be stuck in bottomless powder all day, December or January would be good. Have you contacted a guide yet? I can find out who is good and who isn't if you want Anyway let me know if you have questions, I'll try to help you out. Jim

Nearest international airport is Kamloops BC. Revelstoke is 2 hour drive or bus ride away. I've personally never been to Revelstoke to sled but many of friends from work have and they rave about it. Best time to go would be about late January to March. I hope you have a LONG TRACK sled (151" plus). Lots of steep and deep to enjoy but apparently the trails and sights are incredible as well. Hire a guide as well to show you the in and out or you could be spending the night. GPS is a good idea too. Enjoy schild27.gif

Depending on where you are in N.H, you could fly out of Boston to Toronto.............Then Air Canada has daily flights to Kelowna (about 4.5 hour flight)....If you want to save the cost of the Boston /Toronto leg, it's about a 10 hour drive from central NH (mostly 4 lane) to Toronto.....Be sure to use the "off airport parking " at Toronto.......On airport parking rates are a ripoff...hope this helps....
