Those pics must be from Saturday. We went out on Sunday and it was a mud bath. The MX1 (250 Pro) moto looked like a 50cc 4-6 race in the sand. There were bikes down all over the place. Opening lap Blair Morgan, #3 in Canada, was up front and couldn't make it up the second up hill after the two off cambers on the way up top, spun his wheels until he slowed down so much he just tipped over! Went from top 5 to almost last in the first lap. JSR had similar issues after the uphill sections, tipping over and going a lap down, he was the one to watch actually un-lapping himself (if that’s a word) and coming back for 6th or 7th. Aside from JSR's ride Tucker Hibbert was unreal coming from way back DEAD last in the opening MX2 moto to claw back up to 4th before the halfway point and ultimately have his motor fail, he was easily the fastest guy on the track but the motor puked, too bad cause its such a short series he will not have the chance to make it up for the championship, because they cancelled the second moto he might have a chance if one or two of the other top guys have a DNF, he is such a nice kid I would like to see good for him in MX too. We left after the 1st motos as I had a visit requiring my attendance in the city, but the rest of the day was a bit of a gong show with the riders boycotting the second MX1 moto and the MX2 moto being cancelled. Really was kind of stupid when you consider that the top riders in Canada refused to go out and race on the same track that the 80cc support class just completed there race on, slowly mind you, but they did ride it. THIS IS OUTDOOR MOTOCROSS BOYS! GET WITH IT! The weather and the conditions are part of the challenge, yeah it sucks to ride the mud but last I checked all of my requests to Mother Nature are flatly ignored too.

Too bad for the promoter and the fans, the weather spoiled what is normally the event of the season for the CMRC series. The only good thing that came of it was the fact that there was no dust, which Morden is a little famous for.

Dusty at Morden, you're kidding me right? lol. Yes I took those pics during Saturday's practise when it was dry. And I got an up close and personal look at all of the Moto's that ran on Sunday. Hell I even got roosted at the finish line. I worked finish line on Sunday. It was B.S. boycotting the MX 1 class for the second round. The only time that a race can not be run is if there is lightening or the track is unsafe and neither condition reared it's ugly head. When Chic groomed the track for the second round of MX1 the track was actually pretty good. Man kudos to that guy, he is a miracle worker. When the now infamous Good Times race was held for 4 laps the winner, Mike Harms said that the bottomless sections of the track were actually quite good. The race should have been run for points and I'll bet lots of guys would have showed up on the line. Freakin' Prima Donna's! Hopefully Beausejour's double header will work out.

The track on Saturday was one of the best prepped tracks ever this year. I had to drive my truck thru the water to get out of the pits on Sunday morning. The water in the pits was mid thigh high on Sunday morning. I will post pics of how high the water was in the pits whenever Jessica from Beausejour e-mails them to me. I was pushing water with my bumper of my truck. Are you going to Grunthal on July 8th?
AC_Ryder
yes i should be there what about you?
