AS most of you know the Outlander 800 is basically the V800 in Skidoo and Lynx sleds

Yeti V800 has a twin brother called Yeti V1300

Also there was a Yeti V1000 2 yrs ago

Now with Cat upping the anty with the Tcat 950 V2,will CanAm get BRP to match or surpass Cat?

CanAm can just bolt in the V1300 and be king again or bolt in the V1000 and have a lighter 1000 then Cat

BUT like sledding,I believe the Cat guys are Cat guys as are the CanAM guys are canAm guys who are brand loyal and love the UNIQUE features each of their fave manus make

Another question

Are these big bore going to be like the Tcat/Mach Z sleds that were fringe sleds that only a select few bought, and maunfactures will go back to the 500-700cc quad size that the vast majority buy and concentrate on weight and suspension as they have done with sleds

Can-am will put the 990 v twin they have in their spider in one. It will be sweet!

True never thought of that

+ they have power steering on the Spyder

Seems kinda foolish to me. Anything bigger than a 500 just spins the tires anyways, so what good is it? All the power in the world doesnt mean a thing if you cant put it to the ground.
FIREBALL 440
don't know, but in MN anything over 800 cc's isn't considered an ATV. It is now a OHV and must be registered as such.

A 1000 or 1300? GMAB. Buy a Ford Ranger or tractor at that point. Used, either would be cheaper anyway.

i read somewhere on the internet , cant remember where. 950cc v twin efi.

Big bore utillity wars have been ongoing since the release of the Sportsman 500 in the late nineties, IMO.

If you ever have ridden an ATV with 28" tires in mud that resembles Jello pudding, you soon realize you can never have enough power. Guys want to have big tires, lift kits, heavy winches hanging off the front and still be able to wheelie with little effort. Believe me, the market is there for big CC quads.

This theory was said by someone else on another forum, but I agree with it so will try and re-state it here (this is not a quote).
A 500 cc motor that runs at 3/4 to full throtle quite often will wear out faster than a 950 cc motor that only has to run at 1/2 throtle to get the same results. The extra power is there if you need it, and will probably last longer due to less stress over the life of the 950 motor.
