We pulled into Millers bay and he goes up to do a 360 and over rotated it to a 900 and crashed didnt think much of it so hes screaming somthing about his head/ear so hes like get me out of the damn water! so i had to jump in and pull him out pull his wakeboard off and then we went to eat breakfest and he was bitchin bout it still hurting i didnt think it was bad well we then got gas went home he gets out walks to his house and i get a phone call why i'm putting stuff away from his mom saying she has to take him to the hospital cause of possible concusion(sp) and they tried putting numbing drops in his ear and went crazy lol will post how it turns out later

keep trying tricks you don't know and you will hurt yourself more.
I've seen dudes break their ankles trying 360s
I've been slaloming and barefooting for 10+ years and coached for most of that and never so much as a minor sprain or concussion, and never had to pull anyone out of the water...
wakeboarding will kill your body, but its the "cool" thing to do now.. most people have no idea how to flip and just go balls out without practicing on land.
don't get me wrong I like to wakeboard, but its rough water play and on the water balance training for the real watersports that happen when the water's calm and the speed is up!
be safe

Yea i understand where your coming from we practice all the tricks on a tramp before we get out on the water and normally were with people that can do it so they can help us. He has a ruptured ear drum.

If he was complaining of ear pain, and trying to put in drops hurt, he probably ruptured his ear drum. It's easy to do when your head hits the water. Especially if the side of your head hits the water first. I know several guys who have done this. One of my buddies wears a headband that covers his ears after blowing out both ear drums repeatedly barefooting.

no doubt. the headband isn't "cool" though.. you used to see trickers wearing them a lot and the falls don't hurt like wakeboard falls...

when i was at a ski camp 2 summers ago ( mcclintocks ski school in cambridge) i tried a tick tock (hop and do a 180 and then spin back around on my slalom ski), the driver whipped me in (at roughly 36 mph), when i tried to spin i landed sideways and smacked the side of my head on the water. needless to say i was dizzy for a day or two after and my ear was bleeding for a couple days.1st and last time i try that.
