here is a pic of our landing we just built, and the water pit... it is just off of RT 4 in auburn. We should have wood chips set up soon then we will be able to get the sleds out and start hittin it up during the summer... place is going to be a nasty freeride park next winter... we are trying to get snowmaking hooked up so we can start early. But for the summer months we will stick to the ramp hits...just thought I would share

Thanks to Nic and RENT IT in auburn for all the equipment use!!!!

we have 2 ramps currently and a third in the works.. we already have an scs comp style ramp(we dont use this very often) but we also have a scs comp 2 ramp that we have been hitting the comp 2 ramp is similar to the ones used in the x games just a little shorter 8ft 6 in, the ones used in the x games a called super kickers, which is the one we have being built... they are 9ft 8 in high... they are not there yet because we need to get the wood chips!!! and our source just fell through
Does anybody know where we could get wood chips for cheap, we were going through whitney tree but they sold all of theirs.... and I called jolly gardner and they charge 25 bucks a yard.... whitney was only like 5 bucks.... and we are on a budget... so if anybody knows where we can get some wood chips for like 5 bucks a yard that would be great!!!!
we need like 60 yards to start

the wood chips dont lube up the slides but do provide cushioning and have alot less friction then landing on straight dirt!!
the fastest we go is like 45 of 50mph depending on the gap and not for very long distances... you would be suprised a set of broken in slides will last most of the summer!!!!

Call PR. Russell in Richmond.. They're the ones that produce MOST of the "Mulch" for New England.. IS just down the road a piece from my place. I'm not sure about $5.00 a yard.... BUT, I do know they'll sell it cheaper right there then most places..
You just have to have a truck (5 yards or bigger only) to get it.!
I was thinking it was more then that.. but this is MULCH.. not "wood chips".. unless they HAVE wood chips and I don't know it.. lol..
Maybe I should just have left it as... " Call PR. Russell in Richmond"..! LOL

when you say "wood chips" are u talkin about mulch? or do you want actual wood chips? if your talkn mulch i can talk to my boss and see what he can do, i know we order it by the 100's of yards at a time so he probly gets some huge discounts

mulch is like broken and wet soft stuff wood chips are actual chips of wood and are solid not mushy and doesn't hold moisture very much so it doesn't make a muddy mess like mulch would.

Oh yeah, I would probably spot it easier if it was on snow. Gonna get a long tracker for next winter? No more getting stuck repeatedly and rolling it over to get unstuck
