whats the big deal about the ride? better than the traditional chassis?

16k - good lord. Do they also make cookies while youre riding? So when you stop, they always have warm cookies ready?

They make rough trails melt away,at speed.Excellent high mileage sled.
I like the fact that its not held together by a cookie sheet, staying power!
I know of a few with over 25k and the front ends are as tight as new.
Blade deltabox chasis 99' to 08'-Ski-Doo How many different chasis since 99?

The chassis is the only good looking thing about the Blades-Im sure they ride and handle nice but they havn't had a "cosmetic" update since the 90's-there long overdue and likely holding off alot of perspective buyers. Its time for them to retool the dies and improve the styling!

They remind me of a mix of older phazers and Yamaha Sx's with a polaris headlight crammed in there.

Yes,they do.Its the cost of not being in mass production, fewer units cost more.Coulings $2500 alone.Cost me $145 for a windshield,3 times! If they mass produced them in mexico maybe they could become more price competive.Even so a dialed in blade has the best, longest lasting chasis available. An m-1000 sno-pro is almost$13k,apex ltx $12.5K.not that big a spread anymore.

schinner16

jrise

kev144
They use a polaris engine so they must suck!
Bilbo
Wow, they re Almost as Ugly as the new Cats.
rockrider
It would be nice if they ever answered their phone at FAST. I need parts for an M-10. And yes, the sleds are ugly. I remember how cool and exotic they seemed back in the 90's, now they just look old and dated. I'm sure they are good for certain aspects of riding... but if they were all they were proclaimed to be, they would have been raced competitively and accomplished something.
Firecrotch
ugly? apparently you havent seen a new phaser
Hey Johnny Park
Doesnt Polaris make the engine for this thing? What is is suppose to be like a Ducati of the snowmobile world?

Ill try to get a few pics up soon. there both out in the barn keeping my cats company.

how come blades werent in the new xp videos, wow i wonder why?
BigX
How do they handle in the back country? The front looks like it may slow you down it the deep stuff. Are they heavier than other sleds? I've never got to ride one, but it would be fun to try out.

How do you compare your new 08 offering to a design that was released in 99'?Blade beat the 400# mark in 99'so whats so new and cutting edge about that!
skidoostomper
i was just wondering how come ski-doo didn't compare the blade to anything in the video if there such an awesome sled? stirthepot.gif

Blades are a built to order sled,it would be hard to compare your new offering (xp)with a chassis design 9 years into production(blade),the introduction of the air-link rear suspension pushes it that much further ahead. The new ski-doo uses many of the blades design principals, does the ski-doo have a real frame?Front stabilizer,etc-cant compare a ferrari to a ford.
Pictures?

I finally did get through on the phone several weeks ago and they were nice to talk to and very helpful. I was pretty frustrated when I first made my post. Found out the hard way that you can't go back an edit your post after a day or so.

Well its about time that somebody needs to put their money where their mouth is and test one of these out.

Its not all about looks guys....

You never know until you ride one so that is the reason im not going to make any outstanding remarks on these blades.

yeah im 17 and im still acting a little more mature than most of you guys out here.

Thats odd.
brnr17
welll IMO ... the blades are not as nice looking as they could be. i rememeber walking into the dealership 8 years ago and seeing this red sled in there. it was a blade. i thought it was bad ass looking. but now the look is outdated. But if they cared about the looks they would have addressed this problem already. Blade knows the demographic they are after ... and it's not the group the wants the sled that's the fad at the time. However i think it would be cool to see what new look they could come up with while still maintaining the performance they are currently offering to their customers. I did speak with my buddies dad who ended up buying a blade for $2500. had it all year but just couldnt get it set up right ... his only complaint was that their is just too much damn stuff to adjust and tinker with lol
