I saw this guy in person just one time, but got many pics of him. He has 2 main beams off his right side and the mass is just awesome for a coastal Maine deer. I hunted the area pretty hard but couldn't get on top of this guy. We didn't hear of anyone shooting him, so i hope to see him again this summer to confirm that he made it.

Yeah, you don't see bucks like that along the coast of Maine very often. I really can't wait to hang the camera again in a few weeks to see if i can get a glimps of him again. Really hope he made it through the hunting season and the winter.

Never saw him again after early september, but didn't hear of him getting shot either. We did get some pics and video of the buck in the attached picture, then my buddy shot him 3/4 of a mile away chasing doe's a few weeks ago. We finally tracked them down into that area and it looks like thats where the best Rut hunting is going to be in the future. Big woods, but lots are hard woods and apples. Saw lots of Does and a few smaller bucks in there through October Bow season. It took us a few years to get to that piece, but i think thats where we're going to want to be every year once the summer feeding patterns change.
BTW- the one pictured below went 204 lbs dressed with a 22" inside spread at the tips. What a brute!!
The kicker is, we have another buddy still hunting in the same area and he has another monster twice now that he says has a taller rack that also looks very wide. And to think i filled my tag on a freakin Doe at the end of bow season. Stupid!! I'll never do that again!!

Ive been chasing a big one down my way since the third wednesday, i saw him that morning, but it was too dark to shoot still, and i havent seen him since, he is still there though, fresh tracks everyday, but still havent seen him.
